NIKONGO BANIKONGO holds A.A. and B.A. degrees in Political Science, an M.A. in International Relations/Comparative Politics, and a Ph.D. in International Law & Economic Development. A Founding Member and the organization’s Legal & Labor Affairs Programs Director, he is an expert in Human Rights and Economic Development and serves as an Associate Professor in courses on "Racism, Law, Injustice, and Development Studies at the nation’s top-ranked HBCU.

Dr. BaNikongo has overseen major initiatives, including residency registration and agricultural worker adult education programs in the Dominican Republic, as well as rural development aid in Haiti. In 2022, he was consulted by the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security and Labor to investigate working and living conditions among Dominican sugar cane workers. He also provided expert testimony before the U.S. House Ways & Means Committee and assisted a Congressional delegation examining forced-labor allegations in the Dominican Republic. In 2017, he filed a human rights complaint with the International Criminal Court on behalf of ethnic Haitians in the Dominican Republic.

JULIO ROMNEY holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in Political Science and completed all coursework for the Ph.D. in International Relations, Comparative Politics, and Quantitative Methodology. A leading voice on Dutch Caribbean politics, he has published extensively through books, articles, and radio commentary. He has repeatedly been invited as an expert by the Parliament of St. Maarten and traveled to Geneva to provide constitutional testimony on rights and justice issues affecting Caribbean nationals of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

VINCENT AGUBOKWU holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in Criminology and a Doctorate in Education. A founding member of the organization, he has a longstanding record of leadership in philanthropic and community-focused programs. He brings decades of professional experience from a successful career in juvenile justice with the District of Columbia government, where he worked extensively on youth rehabilitation, public safety initiatives, and community-based support services.

KADEEN MENZIE holds a B.A. in Political Science and is deeply committed to issues of justice and equity, continuing her studies in those fields. She has traveled throughout the Caribbean on human rights–focused missionary service and brings several years of professional experience in management and administration.
